Experience shows us that when you are injured on the railroad the claims department will attempt to contact you or your family immediately – when you are at your most vulnerable. You’ll be asked to give a recorded statement that will be picked through later by railroad lawyers for anything that could be potentially used against you. Questions will be carefully worded in a leading fashion by highly trained claims agents to deflect railroad responsibility and if at all possible, put the blame on you.
Unfortunately given the serious nature of railroad injuries you may be hospitalized, but that will not stop the claim agent who will wait in the lobby or outside your room to question your spouse or other loved one. This is why we have created our Family Protection Pack™ - to make important information available at your family’s fingertips in the event of injury.
